MYiTECH

Terms of business

Plain English, because a client who does not understand the terms has not really agreed to them. Nothing here is designed to catch you out.

Last updated 8 September 2026

1. Who you are dealing with

MYiTECH is the trading name of Abdalla, a software developer working from London, United Kingdom. When you hire MYiTECH, one person does the work and one person answers the phone, and they are the same person.

A postal address is given on request, and appears on every quote and invoice.

2. The quote is the contract

Prices on this site are starting prices, to tell you the scale of the thing. The price for your job is the one written in your quote.

3. Paying

The amounts, the stages and the dates are set out in your quote. Invoices are due within 14 days unless the quote says otherwise. If an invoice goes unpaid I may pause work, and I will tell you before I do rather than going quiet.

Hosting, domain names, and any paid plugin, licence or service your project needs are bought by you, in your own name, direct from the supplier — usually £60 to £200 a year. They are not marked up and not hidden in my price. It also means those accounts are yours, not mine.

4. What I need from you

Most projects that run late run late for the same reason: the words and pictures have not arrived. Timings in a quote assume you give me what I ask for, roughly when I ask for it, and answer questions within a few days.

You confirm that anything you send me — text, photographs, logos, lists — is yours to use. If someone else owns it, that is on you, not on me.

5. Timings

Dates I give are honest estimates, not guarantees, unless your quote says a date is fixed. If something is going to be late, you hear it from me early, with a reason.

6. It is yours at the end

Once the final invoice is paid, the code written for your project is yours, along with the accounts, passwords and the notes explaining how it works. No lock-in, no monthly fee you cannot escape, and no part held back to keep you tied to me.

Two ordinary exceptions: open-source components stay under their own licences, and I keep the right to reuse my own general techniques and building blocks — the things I knew before your job started. I do not reuse your design, your content or your data.

I may show finished work in my portfolio. If you would rather I did not, say so and I will not.

7. Looking after it afterwards

The care plan is £95 a month for updates, backups, uptime and small changes. It is optional, it is monthly, and you can stop at the end of any month by telling me. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.

Without a care plan, the site is yours to run. I am still happy to help at £60 an hour when you need me.

8. If you are a consumer, not a business

If you are buying as an individual rather than for a business, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of agreeing, without giving a reason.

If you ask me to start work inside those 14 days and then cancel, you pay for the work I have actually done up to that point — nothing more. If work has not started, you pay nothing.

To cancel, just email contact@myitech.co.uk. Nothing formal is required.

These rights come from the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and nothing on this page takes them away.

9. Trading software

Some of my work is software for MetaTrader and similar platforms. To be completely clear about what that is:

10. What I am responsible for, and what I am not

I take responsibility for the work I do, and I will fix what I get wrong. If something I built is faulty, tell me and I will put it right.

Beyond that, my liability for any one project is limited to the fees you paid me for it. I am not liable for lost profit, lost business, lost data you had no backup of, or the failure of a service I do not run — a host going down, a payment provider changing its rules, a plugin author abandoning their plugin.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law says cannot be limited.

11. If something goes wrong between us

Tell me. Most problems are a misunderstanding about scope and are sorted out in one phone call. If we truly cannot agree, these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

12. Changes to this page

I may update these terms. The version that applies to your project is the one in force on the day your quote was accepted — a later change to this page does not change a deal already made.
